Icon David Baerwald's Greatest Hits

I go thru cycles of listening intensely to people I like and then I put their stuff away for awhile, and then return to it. Right now I've got all my Baerwald out and am pouring thru all these old favorites.

The thought struck me: if I could choose and arrange a Greatest Hits album for David what would I put on it? Most Greatest Hits CD's have about twenty songs on them. So I chose twenty songs and arranged them in an order that I thought would segue them well. 'Welcome to the Boomtown' has that guitar drifting in at the beginning and 'Born for Love' has that beautiful fading solo. You could put it on loop and the two ends would connect beautifully.

Curious to hear your picks, and how would you order them?

1 Welcome To The Boomtown 2 Sirens In The City 3 AIDS & Armageddon 4 Bozo Wierdo Wacko Creep 5 A Prisoner's Dream (Part II) 6 Good Times 7 Ain't So Easy 8 A Secret Silken World 9 Black Mamba Kiss 10 Being Alone Together 11 Nothing's Gonna Bring Me Down 12 Compassion 13 The Crash 14 A Bitter Tree 15 China Lake 16 Why 17 Someday When You're Young again 18 Liberty, Lies And Refugees 19 Stranger 20 Born For Love
