Yes, this story is real --- I have read the song lyrics and the book passages --- it looks like Mr. Bob Dylan is going to be doing one of those CONFIDENTIAL FINANCIAL SETTLEMENTS, that we sometimes hear about.

Most likely the only thing that will come of it will be the author of the book will get co-songwriting credit on subsequent pressings of the offending CD.

This has been done in the past --- with LED ZEPPELIN being forced to add co-songwriting credits to songs they ripped off from the original bluesmen --- I think that the settlement was with the estate of WILLIE DIXON, if memory serves.

So, I guess the moral of the story is that not even ledgendary songwriter's are immune to occassional bouts of writer's block.

Seeing as how BOB DYLAN is much overrated in my book (let the flaming commence!) --- I personally do not see this as much of a crime.

It just yet another BOB DYLAN CD I won't be buying --- just like all the rest of his CD's --- personally, I like JAKOB much better than his Dad!
