I saw that last night.I saw the film you had in your first post.Okay, now what do we do? Short of an actual revolution involving work stoppage, failure to pay any more on anything, taxes or debt, insurrection of another sort, what do we do?We can vote. We can educate our young so that they can vote. But that will take time, more than we have, I'm afraid.Consider: Five million votes won the recent election. Nine million of the 14 million votes from the 18-29 year olds Obama got, stayed home.Had they voted this time, we'd still have a democratic majority in both houses. We hear that more gets done when the houses are split, but when the times require such drastic measures of reregulation i.e., Glass-Steagle reinstated, we need both. That assumes, of course, that Obama and Reid and Pelosi see the danger to our future the banking system poses, and dedicate themselves to do something about it.And we stand behind them with our letters of encouragement, to drown out lobbyists, who do not have our interests at heart, but intervene and try to redirect those we voted for from the task we voted for them to do.We've got to get mad, damn it, like labor leaders got mad in the 1940's, like Susan B Anthony and her followers got mad to get their vote, like King got noviolently mad to get the negro's civil rights. Our anger is diffused in books, in song, on Facebook, Blogs, other parts of the internet, but not in the streets the way it used to be.
