Writing, your forte, works when its to legislators, state bureaucrats, yes, and even to the president.Clearly you have a full plate, but I rant because this upcoming 2012 presidential election, with two possibly three supreme court justices retiring in the ensuing eight years, is the most important election this country will have for thirty or forty years.A "get out the vote" campaign must be waged beginning yesterday. That's why your post was so important as a way to begin this dialogue.2012 must be at the forefront of our consciousness for the next two years. What with the Court's decision to let corporations spend as much money as they want to on political campaigns, it's tilt is obvious. For anyone concerned about that tilt, writing, knocking on doors, making telephone calls, donating cash, if possible, are among the things we can do to precede our vote.
