MJG,I can't thank you enough for using the word "meme" in that message concerning the John Stewart rally.I'd never heard it before, but have since googled it and discovered that it answers questions posed from research I've been doing about free will and determinism.I'd never heard of Richard Dawkins, a real scholar, I. lol.Yet I knew, intuitively that something other than word of mouth worked to pass cultural concepts from generation to generation. I've been more concerned about when the concept of free will entered the psyche rather than how.The 'meme', thank you again!
