I'm with you MB. We visited DC a few years back and I made my first visit to the Lincoln Memorial. There is a palpable sense of importance in the place, a sense of something so much greater than any of us individually.

Then walking out, I saw a plaque on a stairstep. Upon reading the inscription, I broke down. To be in a place with so much history, with so much impact on our past, present, and future, was just too much at that moment.

To think that Beck and co. dragged their slime-infested hind-ends across it today makes me weep yet again.
