I always thought the Hotel California was the Beverly Hills Hotel, but no! It's the main office building at what used to be Camarillo State Mental Hospital, now the home of the California University Channel Islands. I did a little lecture thing there with my songwriter pal Darrell Brown a couple of weeks ago. Spoooky!
