Snowboard half-pipe competitions = not a sport

(ey, opinions vary certainly.  So be it.)

Here’s one example where my opinion probably skews away from another’s:

 

In my duck-b-umbled opinion (even though [as Ed said somewheres] it gets far too much airtime, cripes!), figure skating fully and completely lost its uh sport value when sticking TWO quads---when nobody else could---doesn’t earn you the Gold.

 

Had the cat who attempted AND accomplished landing those skills focused ONLY on enabling the art deco, then he too could be sporting the moldy Goldie and the male lead in upcoming Ice Capades. But he didn’t, did he?  No, he busted his ass each and every day after bone jarring day training to stick those muthas in the wide world of sports and win the Gold moneymaker!

 

p.s.  I too believe "sport" judges are am-bi-gu-ous, at best.  BUT in halfpipe muthafuqin' snowboarding, the wheat is far more easily extrapolated from the chaff.
