Yes, he is awesome Andrea. He was one of my musical heroes in the seventies. My friend Jim Fricke, who used to be one of the curators for the Experience Music Project in Seattle
ran into Gil at a music industry conference ten years ago and told me Gil was strung out on crack. He
said it was one of the saddest things he'd ever seen- to see this artist who had so articulately
described the impact of drugs in the African American community succumb to them himself.His return is so welcome. I love the new CD and that song "Me and the Devil" sounds like it could be a
missing song from "Triage". just brilliant.
