I will say though Reg that there are a number of aging rock artists who have produced some very interesting work reflecting the changes that life brings rather than going back to their earlier forms. Leonard Cohen's 'Ten New Songs', Neil Young's 'Prairie Wind', and Lou Reed's 'Magic and Loss' are good examples.

I don't really think that rock will ever die. It's too much fun and occasionally someone comes along who manages to revitalize it for a new generation as well as burnt out old hulks like me.

I mean people still paint even though Picasso and Van Gogh are long gone ....
