Maya & I saw Jonah Smith open for Xavier Rudd @ the Rex near Pitt a few years ago. Outstanding trio. Expressive songwriter/frontman…warm/soulful, blues & boogie, funky ..uh.. caucasian R&B feel on the keys, compelling lyrical content, ..with an NYC vibe, I suppose. We dug his set @ the REX (a lot), then again later that year @ ..I think it was The House of Blues.
