Drove up the street to a familiar intersection …where there used to be a variety of things. A park, a stand of trees and a garden pond, some old family home with a covered bridge across a creek, a single-owner eclectic book store and a coffee house that’d been holding benign and excellent avant-garde literary gatherings since the dawn of modern education and should have been declared an historical monument. …BUT NOW there’s ONLY a Walgreen’s on one corner, its druggist competitor on the other, and two opposing gas stations to round out the homogeny!

...Our favorite f^ckin’ arena is named after a f$ckin’ insurance company, our favorite f%ckin’ restaurant closed - f*cking - down …usurped by a shitty f+ckin’ faux-Australian  steakhouse, & now the TP comes in THREE-f><ckin’-Plys so the same yardage runs out quicker unless u diligently consider square usage -- & you have to explain it to your teens while they deadpan at their sad diminishing ol’ confused f#ckin' parents?
