I saw the Poi a million years ago but Nick Lowe--lordy, go see Nick Lowe. What a class dude. I saw
him play once under a hot sun in the middle of Boston and he was so sweet and just a knock-out--all
on his own with an acoustic guitar and a real rich voice. He showed that day just what a great singer
he is. I saw him once before in Syracuse with a band (Paul Carrack, other greats) and I have to say that just
him on his own--terrific. I sort of feel the same way about the many times I saw Zevon. Other people kind of got in the way
sometimes.I was very hopeful of the arrangements of Mr. Baerwald with Dean Parks that were rumored some time
back. The clarity of great songs broken down to just a singer and a guitar or two--please.
