The first thing about this song that grabbed me was the melody. It's one of the most memorable on Bedtime Stories. The subject matter takes it to a more emotional place. Something I really appreciate is that no matter what side of a political divide one might be on (pro-war, anti-war, justified war, whatever . . .) the complicated return to society of the combatants doesn't change.
