I didn't have the patience to start at the 1st album and THEN get to "Rubber Soul,Revolver,Sgt.Pepper..etc" I had to hear,Rain, I'm Down,Day Tripper, and Paperback Writer. I'll probably orgasm when I hear "Don't Let Me Down" and "Oh Darling". Speaking of Abbey Road,it was the only album the band did not release a mono version of. If memory serves "Oh Darling is the last time they recorded a down right rocker with Macca completely singing the arse off the thing, but he needed 2-3 days between takes to let his voice recover.Timeline wise Abbey Road was the last album the group recorded, but was released before Let It Be with the terrible production of Phil Spector. After realising the disaster of the Let It Be which literally documents the groups' demise, except for the rooftop performance. The band sheepishly asked George Martin if he would produce Abbey Road. Martin said yes,but only if he could have the sessions produced the way he used to. I'm thankful that those ultimatums were met.
