Well, Alyssa decided to go with "Stranger" as the song to be analysed. She has a few questions to ask of the board (and especially David if he'd like to enlighten her).1. Who is the storyteller/persona of this song?
2. What does the line "piled up like driftwood" refer to? The previous line speaks of 300 000 men (all different, all the same) - are they the survivors?
3. Was the song written to a specific structure (verse, choris, bridge etc.)?
4. What is the message? She is not wanting you to do her homework for her. She already has her own ideas about each of these questions, but it would be helpful to hear the views of other people. Thanks in advance!
