New teachers here in Florida have to either have second or third jobs or have a second income earner in the house to even try and make ends meet. Even if you have taught for 10 years in another state, you start on the bottom rung. The imbalance of monetary disbursement, for what should be a common goal of betterment across the board, is still unbelievable.
