I think that late career output by Neil Young, Leonard Cohen, Lou Reed, and Patti Smith, just to name a few, has been consistently great.

Why? I think that they are writing about life from the perspective of their age and experience. I find a lot of it just as engaging as their early work.

..but I can't say the same of Bruce
