I'm a fan and an artist. I started working on an album in 1988 that didn't get finally put together until 1999 if you can believe that. But, in 1988, my lyricist and I were so knocked out by Boomtown, and I think some of that influenced the record we put together. The album was delayed because of the producer's sort-of collapse following the Timmy-T debacle; it seems Tim didn't give credit for all the hard work my producer made on his album... anyway, that's rock'n'roll. Bukka Allen used to come into the studio as well back in those days and I'm glad to hear he's joined David on the road. Bukka's parents are talented artists. Fresno is poorer now that they have left town. Anyway, if anyone wants to hear a few songs from my ill-fated album inspired in part by the sounds and feelings of those Boomtown days, check out my listing on Garage Band...
