Paulson seems to be up against the ropes. Exxon made 12bs last year, so why can't they help the auto industry since the auto industry is only asking for 25b, and as a loan at that. Why is it that the bailout just isn't doing what, or if it is doing anything at all, what it sorta sounded like it would do; help those who were wooed or fooled or whatever you want to call it into buying waaaayyyy beyond their means. And Bush wants to grant protections to health care providers who oppose abortion and other procedures on religious or moral grounds thereby prohibiting recipients of federal money from discriminating against doctors, nurses and other health care workers who refuse to perform because of their "religious beliefs or moral convictions." And that is just the tip of that iceberg. And what about Iraq, Afghanistan, and Iran? And there are pirates aplenty and Chavez is threatening one and all who oppose any of his party's candidates. And to top it all off, Bush still has that grin on his face.
