Gene:You were so lucky to be able to see LED ZEPPELIN at the
height of their power --- totally awesome, to be sure. They are my favorite blues band, and have been since the
release of their second album. I was bummed when Bonzo died, as rock music lost a legend
and a fun guy to be around, from all the reports I've heard. One of my girlfriends before I met Paula, a nice lady named
Vera --- her mom was one of the original GTO girls. She was
a major Robert Plant fanatic besides. When Plant was touring
his 1987 NOW AND ZEN disc, I caught the show with Vera
and her mom up in Toronto. She introduced me to Robert backstage, and I quickly paid
my respects and thanked him for making my teenage years
bearable. The next year, when Jimmy Page released OUTRIDER, I got
on the radio on ROCKLINE and got to ask Jimmy a question.Obviously, they are a major force in the music world, and I
am grateful for just the chance to say THANK YOU to them
for all that great music. When Page and Plant toured with the orchestra in 1993, I
took Paula to witness the bombast of the Hammer of the
Gods. She hasn't been the same since.I am enjoying the new CD's and DVD's --- one highlight is
the reworked arrangement on WHOLE LOTTA LOVE at
Knebworth '79. Still smiling . . . Kent Daniel Bentkowski
