Very sorry to hear this.

I have a family member who was in Iraq and returned in bad shape mentally. Crashed his motorcycle doing 60 mph and lived. When he awoke, the first thing he said was, "Oh, I'm still alive." He was disappointed.

Fortunately, a year and a half removed from this, he is doing somewhat better. He seems to have met a woman who has helped him clear out his head.

We can never know what it is that drives people to kill themselves. When I was younger I had a good friend who was seemingly on top of the world--had just gotten a new job, had secured custody finally of her two kids. She did herself in all the same.

Yes, be kind and decent and love the ones you love better. Get out of the house and breathe some oxygen too.

Again, I'm sorry.
