No, I get that. I just think the numbers are going to start moving back the other way as she gets more exposure. No doubt that a young-ish woman like her moving through state politics as she has is a very compelling story. And even with more exposure, she'll likely connect here in Texas. But I'm less sure she will elsewhere. I guess time will tell.

Obama's scholastic record vs. Palin's ought to be more scrutinized.

I agree that there's the potential that Obama could have a Carter-like presidency, but I think he's too smart for that. Surely he can look back through time and learn from JC's mistakes.

You're right about the balance of the country being essentially center-right. Obama would ignore that at his own risk.
