Mr. Dog,

Yes, I get a little weirded out when I hear this Neilson's dookie. Since Reagan was president we've been forced to hear the weekly grosses of movies and people--a lot of them--actually read and know them like it somehow matters, like this makes a thing good. You can't account for tastelessness.

I went and saw the Batman movie a ways back and outside of the 20 minutes of Heath Ledger, the movie is unwatchable. It's hideous, but death makes for good box office--just ask Van Gogh and Cobain and a lot of other sad humans.

These ratings--I agree that the ratings for the RNC were so good because a lot of non-Republicans watched it (myself included) because they wanted to see how low this year's model of the same old crap would go. What new features of creepiness would be added?

And polling? Who answers polling? I occasionally get calls asking me to answer a survey--the most recent was called Palin Comparisons (just kidding)--and I just go, How did you get this number and hang up and go back to eating dinner.

I did see the 9/11 tribute --Iran and 9/11. They are without shame and this is why they are where they are today. Whatta country.

Heard from my brother the other day and he says he's voting McCain. I'm trying to forumate an answer to him that does not invoke how disappointed our late mother would be to hear that. Hard to not equate his vote with my sense that he is a lost person.

Well, back to sweltering here in steamy Boston. It's gonna rain something fierce tonight. Have a good Saturday.
