I love Ralph Towner, and that is a great performance, thanks for that.   I was lucky enough to see him in concert here and meet him briefly afterwards.   Not only one of the world's greatest musicians (he plays..everything), but a very warm and friendly person as well.  Took the time to chat with anyone who wished to meet him after the gig.

My all time favorite recording of his is Solo Concert.  I have the vinyl (1979), but they re-issued it on CD..finally.   I'd also recommend Anthem, his more recent offering...you probably have these already.

He did a couple of very superb recordings with another one of my guitar idols, John Abercrombie, back in the 70's.   Sargasso Sea is available on CD, but sadly and for the life of me, I can't figure out why..the amazing recording Five Years Later was never re-released by ECM for CD.  I think it is the better of the 2 recordings they did together.  My vinyl developed a nasty scratch a few years back, but I was saved by somebody on the Net who was able to burn a high quality vinyl copy to CD for me..Yippeee!  There are some download torrents of this available.
