Billy's early efforts were some of the best around, and I had the opportunity to see him many times in
those days (including two occasions when young Michael Franti and his then-band 'The Beatnigs'
opened for him.Billy's earlier stuff was often just him, his sense of humor, and his heavily amplified guitar. Check out
"There is Power in A Union", "Which Side Are You On?", or "Help Save the Youth of America".Great stuff.
