Yeah, well the story I read many years ago (at least that I recall), is that Stills had a house in some
canyon or other in LA, and Jimi came over for an all-night jam, and they played in his back yard or
patio area. They were friends. They took acid and played eve 'till dawn, pissing off the neighbors
mightily, who called the cops several times....The original story (Stills version) is that nothing was
recorded, but he recalls they did 20-30 original rock songs (made up on the spot) that he swears he
wishes he had a copy of, because in his "mind" they were some of the best songs he ever "wrote".
It's funny, I love some of Stephen Stills' music, but the word asshole keeps lighting up in my mind
many times I think about him. So, this recording you are citing couldn't be the "all night jam", I
don't think.
