People vote for presidents not because they realistically expect them to be 'fully formed' upon taking office. Who could be?

A big part of who we vote for is because we believe that candidate reflects our own values: the way we would like our country to be.

That's why so many young people are supporting Obama. For me, it's great to see them not crumbling under the pervasive cynicism of the past eight years. Cynicism that I've often surrendered to myself I might add. ... or maybe it's sarcasm... I never could keep those straight...
