Yeah, I just read a letter in the local newspaper with the "Communist" angle, too.

It's going to be a horrible general election campaign, issues taking second place behind fear-mongering and outright lying.

After the weekend's news reports about the crumbling infrastructures of our highways and water supplies and the education budget cuts in CA (and everywhere), I can think of a better way to spend that $9 billion a month and maim or disfigure fewer humans at the same time!

I'm more frightened by the above than any terrorist attack.
