Pat, I can't believe I'm saying this (see my previous post), but I actually agree with you, but probably I'm coming at it slightly differently. I think there is a significant element of Obama hysteria, largely fostered by the media. And...it will backfire. If the DEMS want to get to the Whitehouse they need Hillary as their nominee. A "poll" today....taken by DEMS only though, show Obama over McCain by 8% or so in a general election. Obviously the statistic is flawed since they didn't poll Indies or Republicans. When one takes into account Independent voters and a good percentage of disenfranchised Hillary supporters..those folks could vote for McCain and adding that to the Republican supporters, they will beat Obama on a national election. Time will tell, but I will be very surprised if Obama can beat McCain at a national contest. Hillary might do it, but even for her it would be close.
