I was under the impression that the government of Myanmar had stated they 'continue' to decline outside help and/or interference in their nation.

And who could blame them given the international communities -in the person of the UN- tendencies toward corruption. Including the trafficing of children, misdirecting food stuffs meant for the devastated and so on.

Funny how that sort of evil is continually overlooked.

Well not really, but isn't it rather telling.

Btw, the government of Myanmar surely knows about the strings that come with such humanitarian aid in the institutional persons of the WB or the IMF.
