Herring, ... Thank you, that made my day....seriously, inspiring.
Your email had me laughing, ie American Idol? say it isn't so!
no offense taken and thanks for the observations,
your writing is very eloquent, and for you to take the time out
to this listen to it and respond floored me.
Admittedly and honestly, I know
The vocals are rough, sometimes short of breath, parts where I
sang the wrong lyric, certainly
needs to be re-recorded it all needs work,
for starters
I need to be recording in a room
sans a family on the otherside of the wall trying to sleep, or blasting the late
news on the telly. All in all it's a basement tape,
a homemade recording, a sketch to build on.
I thought I'd put it up here,
where most of us share a lot of mutual music tastes.
Figured I'd take my beating, and determine if I was
wasting my time. Or maybe I'd be inspired to improve upon it and take it to another level.
at this this point I’m at the later. Thanks to You Herring , David, Messy Bear and Geno and Dan.
I won't be leaving my place of employment for the music business, anytime soon
I have hungry kids to feed.
Yes, Mac's are great I know No Other!
and the software these days is allowing so many people
opportunities to be creative, to do whatever "it" is they
are inspired to do and look far more impressive than they could say 10 years ago.
Garageband is very user friendly, especially if you have ever used programs
with layers like photoshop, to me, same thing-music version. Perhaps you’ll share with
creations with us here. Once again thank you!
Sincerely,
JW
