The way I see it, Israel and the Palestinians have at least two intractable problems. One is the 1967 borders, and the other is right of return. I find it unlikely that Israel would get everything it wants, even though I see it as the preferred and somewhat more responsible party of the two. Therefore, Israel had better be ready to negotiate on the 1967 border issue, because right of return is clearly not going to happen, and it would radically change Israel's democracy from within.
