"Fuck politics. It is anti-human, anti-earth, anti-labor, anti-creativity, …antimatter. "Eh . . . it is what it is, and that statement is a bit over the top, don't you think? While I do think Obama's comments are being blown totally out of proportion, I haven't seen them taken out of context anywhere, not even on FoxNews. The bottom line is that it is quite presumptious and condescending to suggest that people cling to their faith (religion) in a reactionary way. I'm not surprised that folks might be offended.On the other hand, he's basically right. When pressed, people do oftentimes become reactionary, and they burrow deeper into what they know (or think they know). I can't really argue with Obama's statement, but I stand by the assertion that it was not politically astute nor was it sensitive to the people in question.It is pretty disheartening to see all the mudslinging and a lack of reasonable discourse, isn't it MB? I appreciate your comments.
