let's stick with the wider point, then, cause thinking of oil companies as our friends doesn't do much for me but increase Tylenol consumption.

now maybe i learned too much - or too little - from my dad's 27 years in state and local elected office, but i'm kinda of the mind that the American political system as we know it now is little more than a vast, multifaceted shell-game designed for the specific purpose of entertaining and distracting the electorate as their pockets are picked and their children packed off to wars and wage slavery. it’s unfortunate, but there you have it.
