YES. I've positioned some of my investments accordingly out of equities, before the "storm" hits...and it will. The housing market plunge is foretelling and everything else will snowball from there. I came to that conclusion about 6 months ago, and time has proved my decision as a good one. Unfortunately, I'm stuck with my overpriced, poorly built townhome, and the predictors for recovery, at least any time soon, are not good. Renters...be thankful!
