Icon Delegates vs Superdelegates

This, I did not know.  What Cass' previous post referred to was the superdelegate vote and the DNC, which is not the whole picture, but constitutes roughly 1/5 of the vote.  The remaining 4/5 is decided by the delegates.  The delegates are supposed to be "promised" based upon the results of the primaries/caucases.  So...the "people" do have a say in the nominee, but less of a say with the Democrats.

The Republicans do not have a Superdelegate system.  Their delegates are dictated largely by the results of the primaries.   Thus, it would appear the Repubs decision regarding their nominee might be a better way to go than the Dems.

Then, the only nagging question for me would be to what extent can the primaries be rigged?  Clearly the hand count vs machine count would be a key issue.  Hmmmm...we'll just have to see.
