I like Steuart Smith's guitar parts.  They don't rock as much as when Walsh and Felder had both guitars cranked up, but Smith has a bunch of wonderful, subtle things going.  Check out the little slinky part in the chorus of "Fast Company" and (as you mentioned) the breakdown and "dark places" parts of "Waiting In the Weeds." 

Their lyrics aren't nearly as sharp, witty, and well-drawn as are David's, but there's some good stuff mixed amid the middle-of-the-road numbers.

Agree that Walsh's tune on the 2nd disc is fantastic.  I'll go further and say its my favorite from him in more than twenty years.
