Yes, I know of similar situations, Dan. I think it is a great idea. There are "boutique" practices where for a prepaid per annum amount, the doctor will see you unlimited visits, and he/she is available to you, not an associate or fill-in, except for vacations. However, it's a little pricey, but still gets out of the insurance mire.
I'd welcome more practices with this method of pay. The insurance thing here is a mess.
