I'm on my 2nd pass of the McCartney album as well. The opening track "Dance Tonight" is built around a simple mandolin part and in spite of the lightweight lyrics, it's catchy and sets the table well for the rest of the album. There's a theme of nostalgia through out and the more heartfelt lyrics do seem more appropriate for Linda than Heather. His last release "Chaos & Creation" was a good one but with the exception of "Fine Line" there wasn't an uptempo song to be found. On "Memory Almost Full" there's a couple bona fide rockers and the slow stuff is on the back burner for a change. Over all it's a strong 3.5 out of 5 not amazing but a fine effort all around. Typically, ol' Macca plays everything himself (with a couple of performances by the guys in his touring band) and producer David Kahne did a good job.
