I am a fan of Michael Moore. As with any source of information, I never invest 100% in one persons opinion. God knows Mr. Moore can come off as a bully but since Roger & Me and the subsequent TV shows, I continue to stand in admiration of his ability to get the message out, if not get actual results. The mix of entertainment with fact is easy to attack. I will grant that all the attention on him may affect his decisions now more than ever. But there are too few willing to stand up and shout to the rafters about what they percieve as injustices.
His "attacks" on HMO's from the "Awful Truth" , where he staged the funeral of a member who's benefits were caught in bearuacratic limbo, (stalling as they did it seemed hopeing he would die and exempt them from paying out) still stands in my mind as one of the most moving examples of what he can achieve.
I agree his Oscar rant was a poor choice, but I will never deny him the right to say it.
Who else is championing these cause with as much affect?
I am very suspect of our current government and look forward to the exposure of these alleged ties.
I support our troops. I believe Sadaam to be a genuine threat to his own people if not the world and would be happy to see him gone. I wish for a quick end to this (what are they calling it???) "war". We're in it, but I can't wait for it to be over.
So really, anyone tell me, who is effectivly speaking out these days , AND be ing heard ????
