I instantly felt the same connection with the band that I felt more than 20 years ago upon first hearing them...

I like the new Wilco disc but can't help but be disappointed... Tweedy is a raging genius, there's no doubt of that... But I find there are few songs that rate up there with their best stuff... The first and last cuts on the album do almost nothing for me, but I like Impossible Germany, Shake It Off, Side With the Seeds, Hate it Here, Walken and the title cut... Perhaps I'll grow to love them as much as Handshake Drugs, How to Fight Loneliness, Misunderstood, She's A Jar, etc... Sigh...
