Interesting response!  Yep - I can sort of agree with your take on the drug thing.  The bits about the scaffolding got me rolling, very funny picture in my mind.  Like you say, and I tend to agree, I'm not fit to critique any of his work other than offer a b.s. opinion from straight out of the ether - and we all know what we can do with that.  Baerwald and I are the same age and when he brings out some of his details of the late '70s-early '80s, he cracks me up (been there, done that).  The honesty trip, I agree with that as well - especially with the critical eye that never swerves from the reality of what he sees, good and bad.  I'd love to see where he goes from here...
