My intent is to enlighten, &/or be enlightened, through the means of discussion David.

My argument is not that global warming is not occurring. Although, the other evening I was given to understand that the actual global temperatures have been flat, if not cooling slightly, since 1998.

My argument is that global warming, despite the employment of the unscientific method of consensus, is not man made. That, in fact, the planet is always in one state of flux, warming or cooling(which should be obvious to anyone). Further, per the unanswered question I proposed, we know without question! that portions of the northern hemisphere have been much warmer than presently without the aid of the modern byproducts of industrializations involvement. And, that the doom and gloom we're told to expect presently did not transpire a millenia ago. In fact, history shows, that men in America and Europe prospered quite nicely prior to the mini ice age that closed down Greenland for good(to agrarian occupation) about 1350.

In addition, it was once again brought to my attention that all the various samplings(e.g., ice cores, stalagmites etc) definitively show that the rise in atmospheric CO2 occurs following the periodic global warming, not as a precursor to or concurrent with, such global warming measurements. The crux of the issue for me is that since this is clearly, not a man made problem, and quite beyond human scope to manage, what is the actual point of the man made political solutions dressed up as saving the earth?

You might be surprised to know I view the earth as a living entity. And that I do think there are better ways to live in harmony with this planet while maintaining and exporting a high standard of living. I would simply argue that manufactured ills are distracting folks from recognizing the actual problems which need solving, which are primarily political and financial in nature. Any of which I would be delighted to discuss.

The other side of my intent, as ever my dear sir, is in the interests of the maximization of human liberties: Find the cost of freedom .... Which is why I bother with this topic, due to the breadth of proposed solutions. Because although the solutions are unnecessary, they are not without purpose.

peaceably
