Yeah, I find that a little strange also. I've read Carter's last book
which was clearly pro-Israel, and raised his concerns about the Bush
administration and Christian right-wing fundamentalists, which he
clearly distinguished as different and separate from Christian
Evangelicism. I'd be shocked if his new book was anti-semitic, but
apparently it has raised a few eyebrows in the Jewish community as
well. I don't know what he said, or how he said it, that the viewpoint
was taken as anti-semitic.
