David --  I always wondered about this.

One might assume "Leaving Las Vegas" but the other two were just as good.

In fact, I recently read all three again and something about "The Assault on Tony's" really gets to me.

My favorite used to be "Stripper Lessons" but "Tony's" strikes me as more true (even though the plotline is sorta futuristic/apocolyptic)

I contacted John's sister some years back to tell her what her brother's books meant to me. I think she told me he had another book but she wasn't sure if anybody was ever going to publish it.

That's too bad.
