The show that this "device" is promoting is truly odd, surreal and most would say incredibly stupid. Others would say its "Must See TV" (bring your own weed)

So on some level its very funny that this asinine little kindergarten quality character caused so much strife. Maybe its the fact that it is flipping the bird is the big headache.

Either way I find the whole thing amusing, but I can also understand the bewilderment of anyone who is unaware of the show.
