Bush has already dismissed many of the main recommendations of the bipartisan Iraq Study Group, whose report last month called for a pullback of most combat forces by early 2008.

He has moved to replace generals who expressed misgivings about risks of higher U.S. casualties and overstretched forces with military men more in step with his thinking. (great eh?  just replace those who don't agree with you)

There will be 20,000 more troops sent to Iraq boys n' girls (count on it).   And...what have the Dems had to say?   Steny Hoyer evaded the question completely, and Nanci Pelosi said something ineffectual like they wouldn't give Bush "carte blanche" spending for it.  I knew they couldn't be counted upon.   They're already bending over.  Plus que la meme chose.
