After listening to the kiss ass questions served up to incoming Defense Secratary Gates, I wonder where the fight went. Doesn't anyone know who this guy is? I know he'll be confirmed because of the Reps majority, but isn't it the responsibility of the present sitting Dems to take the gloves off and expose his culpability in the breeding of al-Qeada. (Among many atrocities)

     This so called Council on Iraq is made up people (if you can call them that), whose sole talent, is to get themselves out of shitty situations that they put other people into, without getting dirt under their fingernails. While at the same time plundering any loot they haven't already stolen, to swell the coffers of the corporations they represent.

     When are the Dems going to realize their victory in Nov was precisely what the neocons wanted. They get to make a huge mess as a distraction to rob the country blind and dump it in someone elses lap. When the Dems fail to clean it up, (because there's no way to clean up a mess of this proportion that will be satisfactory to anyone), the Reps can blame it on them. "You didn't give us the chance to finish, to achieve victory"  

     Gates' confirmation hearing is exactly the type of forum to fire the first salvo on the road to investigating, charging, trying, convcting, sentencing, and imprisoning all those responsible for this unprecedented use of manipulation disguised in the name of security and freedom.
