I'd prefer John Edwards at this point. He's got a good basic program and would do a good job.
For the past couple of years he's been supporting various candidates, giving speeches at state events and in general keeping his head down while building up a broad support base in the Democratic Party.
Of the ones in your original post, Obama is probably the best but he needs some experience before shooting for the big job. Gore would make a good president but he's proven to be a poor candidate.
You think Lieberman is a viable presidential candidate? A sitting senator who couldn't win his party primary? Republicans love the guy but he's not a member of their party and I don't think he could make a credible run as an independent.
